PI decode home made with software , guarantee continous and simple .
Need :
1X rs232 female
1X receiver with SAA6579
1X RDS DECODER 3.0
First , open radio receiver , catch SAA module , werify pins 2 and 16 for glue correct wire serial . Glue 3 wires , 1/ GND , 2/ pin 16 RI and , 3/ pin 2 DATA
Pin 1 glue on rs232 to ground jack
Pin 6 glue with wire connected on pin 2 SAA
Pin 9 glue with wire connected on pin 16 SAA
PINS SAA6579 - 2 is RDS DATA and 16 is RDS CLOCK
RS 232 pins - 6 is DATA / DSR and 9 is CLOCK / RI (ring indicator)
When have analyser test 1187hz carryer.
Exist 2 posibilityes , 1 TTL response in RS232 COM1 , or NOT RECOGNIZE !
SImple solving problem , RI and DSR is inverted and TTL is request time out .
Instal software . click open application, and read PI / RT / PS data on software .
No need Schmitt-Trigger 74HC14 with many gates!!
